Yellow !

[ENG]
The yellow colour is the protagonist of these days. Our particular monster offers fun activities such as painting with hands, making murals, experimenting with plasticine, knowing different yellow objects and much more !
Soon, the cold of winter will come and the yellow will leave to give way to another color. What will be ??
Watch out ! On the 24th we celebrate the festival of the yellow color and we'll be dressed in yellow!

El color groc és el protagonista d'aquests dies. El nostre particular monstre ens ofereix un munt d'activitats divertides com pintar amb les mans, fer murals, experimentar amb plastilina, conèixer diferents objectes grocs i molt més !
En breu, arribarà el fred de l'hivern i el groc marxarà per donar pas a un altre color! Quin serà??
Atents ! El dia 24 celebrarem la festa groga i ens vestirem grocs !

Autumn Party !

[CAT] El passat divendres vam festejar la Castanyada amb tots els pares i mares de La Mainada. Va venir la Senyora Castanyera i va repartir castanyes per tothom.
Els Xics i Menuts li van cantar la cançó de la castanyera, i els Súpers van cantar i ballar "my favourite pumpkin".

[ENG] Last Friday we celebrated "La Castanyada" with all the parents of La Mainada. The Lady Castanyera came and she distributed chestnuts for everybody.
Xics and Menuts sang the song of "La Castanyera", and Súpers sang "my favourite pumpkin".

Hello Autumn !!

[ENG] Hello Autumn!
This week autumn has come and we received the Yellow Monster .
This Monster has prepared many fun activities ! We played with yellow toys, lemons, painted yellow, and many more !
Xics, Menuts and Súpers prepared a corner of the autumn! VEry cool !

[CAT] Hola tardor !

Aquesta setmana hem entrat de plè a la tardor i amb ella hem vist l'arribada del Mostre Groc. Aquest Monstre ens ha preparat moltes activitats divertides !! Hem jugat amb la panera groga, hem experimentat amb llimones, hem pintat amb el color groc, i moltes coses més!

Els xics, menuts i súpers han muntat un racó de la tardor la mar de xulo!

Welcome to all !
We start the course with great enthusiasm and energy.

To start we introduce you to our petS!The "Panxeta", the puppy of the súpers.The "Ratlletes", the little cat of the menuts. The "Baldufa", the little mouse for xics.

Today is...HOT!

[ENG] These days have been the hottest.  We have imagined we are on holidays. During the summer is probably we are going to swim, at the swimming-pool or at the beach. To learn more animals, we have painted a drawing where there were a lot of animals which live under the sea; for example shells, fish, starfish and dolphins.

[CAT] Aquestes dies han estat els més calorosos. Per estar més fresquets, ens hem imaginat que estem de vacances. Durant l'estiu és probable que anem a nadar, a la piscina o a la platja. Per aprendre més animals, hem pintat un dibuix on hi havia molts animals que viuen sota l'aigua; per exemple petxines, peixets, estrelles de mar i dofins.

Animals

[ENG] This week we have been looking at some animals pictures. These animals live in the farm, in the sea, in the jungle or in our houses. Saying their names and imitating their sounds Súpers and Menuts become in wild animals like elephants or nice animals like little ducks or cats. Thanks to it, we remember the colours and we learn a lot of new vocabulary. 

[CAT] Aquesta setmana hem estat mirant algunes imatges d'animals. Aquests animals viuen a la granja, al mar, a la selva o a casa nostra.  Dient els seus noms i imitant els seus sons, els Súpers i els Menuts ens convertim en animals salvatges com els elefants o en animals més simpàtics com els aneguets o els gats. Gràcies a això, recordem els colors i aprenem nou vocabulari.

Colouring our new friend

[ENG] Last week we met a blue Fish which appears in our sessions with the red Apple, the yellow Star and the green Pear. We have in the class, four coloured monsters  and our English pets. They are happy because they are together finally.

Although, we have a problem again with our new pet, because our friend appeared during one of our sessions without colour, so it was white. Our aim was to paint again with a blue colour the little fish.

[CAT] La setmana passada vam conèixer un Peix blau que apareix a les nostres sessions juntament amb la Poma vermella, l'Estrella groga i la Pera verda. Tenim a la classe quatre monstres de colors  i les mascotes angleses. Estan tots molt contents perquè finalment estan junts.

Tot i això,  hem tingut problemes una altra amb la nova mascota, perquè el nostre amic va aparèixer en una de les sessions sense color, per tant era blanc. El nostre objectiu era pintar una altra vegada amb color blau el peixet.

A new colour

[ENG] Green colour left, we celebrated a big party to say goodbye to this colour which is very common during the spring. The blue monster has arrived in La Mainada and thanks to it we have met a new friend: a blue fish. It lives, near the coast, in the sea and it loves swimming in it looking around and discovering other animals like octopus, mussels or jellyfish and sea plants too.

[CAT] El color verd va marxar, tots vam fer una gran festa per dir-li adéu a aquest color, el qual és molt comú durant la primavera. El monstre de colro blau ha arribat a La Mainada i gràcies a això nosaltres hem conegut a un nou amic: una peix blau. Aquest peixet, viu a prop de la costa dins el mar i li encanta nedar i mirar al seu voltant i descobrir altres animals com els pops, els musclos o les meduses, així com també les algues que viuen sota l'aigua.

Colouring a farm

[ENG] If last week we learnt the animals we can find in a farm, this week we have created and coloured our farm. The animals and a lot of colours are the main subject in our conversations during our sessions. Súpers and Menuts have a great imagination and our farms are colourful. The cows are not black and white, neither the pigs aren't pink nor the hens are not brown, but it doesn't matter because we have spent good moments painting.

[CAT] Si la setmana passada vam aprendre els animals que trobem en una granja, aquesta setmana hem creat i posat color a la nostra. Els animals i molts colors són el tema principal de els nostres converses durant les sessions. Els Súpers i els Menuts tenim molts imaginació i les nostres granges són molt acolorides. Les vaques no són negres i blanques, els porquets tampoc són roses i les gallines tampoc són marrons, però això no té importància ja que nosaltres hem passat una bona estona pintant.

The Farm

[ENG] The farm has been discovered by the children these days. Looking at different pictures, we have learnt the name, the colour and the sound of the animals which live in a farm. In a daily day, while some animals are eating their food, the others are sleeping in their houses or swimming in the lake.

[CAT] El món de la granja ha estat descobert pels nens i nenes aquests dies. Mirant a varis dibuixos, hem après el nom, el color i el so dels animals que viuen a la granja. En un dia rutinari, mentre alguns animals estant menjant, els altres estan dormint a la seva caseta o bé nedant al llac. 

Mireu al diccionari visual per saber els animals que hem estat aprenent a les nostres sessions.

A lot of colours, a lot of flowers

[ENG] In our classrooms there are a lot of flowers. We have seen with spring arrival, the painted tree has flowers in its branches. This fact let us to learn a lot of different colours. Spring is a magical season because we can see a lot of colours if we go outside! 

In order to learn about spring, we have painted a big flower. Every child has chosen a colour to create a colourful flower.

Furthermore, we have discovered the weather is very changeable, one day is rainy and cold and the other is sunny and hot.

[CAT] A les nostres classes hi ha moltes flors. Hem pogut veure que amb l'arribada de la primavera, l'arbre pintat té flors a les seves branques. Aquest fet, ens permet aprendre diferents colors. La primavera és una estació de l'any màgica, ja que podem veure molts colors si anem passejant pel carrer.

Per tal d'aprendre sobre la primavera, hem pintat una gran flor. Cada nen ha escollit un color per crear una flor de colors.

A més a més, hem pogut descobrir que el temps és molt inestable, un dia plou i fa fred i un altre fa sol i calor.

Geometric Forms

[ENG] After Easter and Saint George, we have come back with energy in order to continue discovering the geometry world. 

This week, Menuts have seen an easy shape: the circle. We have been able to touch small and big circles. These circles are red, yellow or blue. It is a fantastic discovery.

On the other hand, Súpers have compared circles and squares. We have said if they are big or small, if they are yellow or blue. Moreover, we have learnt a new form: the rectangle. It's different from square because of two of its sides are longer.

[CAT] Després de Setmana Santa i Sant Jordi, hem tornat amb molta energia per continuar descobrint el món de la geometria.

Aquesta setmana, els menuts hem vist una forma senzilleta: el cercle. Hem pogut tocar cercles petits i grans i a més a més, aquests cercles són vermells, grocs o blaus. Ha estat un descobriment fantàstic.

Per altra banda, els Súpers hem comparat cercles i quadrats. Hem hagut de dir si són grans o petits, si són grocs o blaus. A més a més,  hem après una forma nova: el rectangle. És diferent del quadrat perquè dos dels seus costats són més llargs.

Saint George

[ENG] As you know, this Sunday is Saint George and in Catalonia is a tradition to gift books and roses. The children from La Mainada know the legend about this famous knight because our teachers have explained it to us. Our English sessions can't be different and we have been working this typical celebration. We have painted our own book and rose.

[CAT] Com ja sabeu, aquest diumenge és Sant Jordi i aquí a Catalunya és tradició regalar llibres i roses. Els nens i nenes de La Mainada coneixem la llegenda d'aquest famós cavaller, ja que les nostres mestres ens l'han explicat. Les sessions d'Anglès no podien ser diferents i hem estat treballant aquesta típica celebració. Hem pintat el nostre propi llibre i ens hem fet la nostra rosa.

Menuts, Súpers and all staff want to wish you 

This week we have been little bunnies looking forward to eating chocolate eggs!

We are Easter bunnies

[ENG] This week we have put on our hands over our head like if they were enormous ears and all of the children have become Easter bunnies hopping all around.  Moreover, every child has painted a nice rabbit which is taking an egg. Menuts and Súpers enjoy painting with colours. So it is a way to learn their names and to share them between our classmates. We are artists painting pictures and it is a method to have our own at home in order to be able to show them to our family.

[CAT] Aquesta setmana hem posat les mans sobre el nostre cap com si fossin unes orelles gegants i tots els nens i nenes de La Mainada s'han convertit en conillets de Pasqua saltant per tot arreu. A més a més, cada nen ha pintat un simpàtic conillet, el qual porta un ou. Els Menuts i els Súpers ens encanta pintar amb colors, doncs és una manera d'aprendre els seus noms i compartir-los entre companys. Som artistes pintant dibuixos i és una forma de tenir cadascú el seu a casa i poder ensenyar-los a la nostra família.

Welcome Spring!

[ENG] Spring arrived on Monday, so La Mainada has a lot of colourful flowers from the ceiling and in the walls. They give a new atmosphere like if we were on the countryside all day.

Spring has brought us a lot of colours but a problem too. When we have to decide the weather we don't know if it is cold or hot because it depends if it is morning, midday or evening. So we have decided to stick the sticker in the middle of these two words to be more correct.

Besides in order to say welcome to the Spring, Menuts and Súpers have painted a drawing dedicated to this season. In the picture we found a lot of flowers, some insects like a butterfly or a bee and of course the sun shining in the sky.

[CAT] La primavera va arribar el dilluns, per tant La Mainada té moltes flors de colors penjant del sostre i a les parets. Aquestes, donen un nou aire com si fóssim al camp tot el dia.

La primavera ens ha portat molts colors però també un problema. Quan hem de decidir el temps que fa no sabem ben bé si fa fred o calor perquè depèn de si és matí, migdia o vespre. Per tant, hem decidit enganxar l'enganxina al mig d'aquestes dues paraules per ser més exacte.

A més a més, per donar la benvinguda a la primavera, els Menuts i els Súpers hem pintat un dibuix dedicat a aquesta estació. A la imatge hem trobat moltes flors, alguns insectes com una papallona o una abella i evidentment el sol brillant al cel.

It's time to dance!

[ENG] Thursday means music, so our English session can't be different. This week we have danced a new song. It is very funny and also a little difficult because we have to seem little bunnies. We have to hop, we have to run and we have to walk in the class like if we were Easter rabbits. 

Easter is coming, thanks to it and to the song we can count to 10! It's fantastic!

[CAT] Dijous significa música, doncs a la nostra sessió d'Anglès no pot ser diferent. Aquesta setmana hem ballat una nova cançó. És molt divertida però també una mica difícil perquè hem de semblar conillets petits. Hem de saltar, córrer i caminar per tota la classe com si fóssim conillets de Pasqua.

Setmana Santa està arribant, i gràcies a això i a la cançó ja podem comptar fins a 10! És fantàstic!

Easter Song

A new friend

[ENG] Mr. Carnestoltes has left but someone new has arrived in La Mainada. We have known a new friend: a Green pear. This pear is very nice because it is smiling all day. We are really happy; thanks to it we have learnt a new colour. It has brought a lot of new pictures and now we can choose between three different colours: red, yellow and green. The truth is we are doing really well!

We are happy to introduce you our new friend!

[CAT] El Sr. Carnestoltes ha marxat però ha arribat a La Mainada algú nou. Hem conegut a un nou amic: una Pera Verda. Aquesta pera és molt simpàtica perquè està sempre contenta i nosaltres estem molt contents perquè gràcies a ella hem après un nou color. La pera ens ha portat moltes imatges noves i ara podem escollir entre tres diferents colors: vermell, groc i verd. La veritat és que ho fem realment bé!

Estem contents de presentar-vos la nostra nova amiga!

Carnival Party

[ENG] This week has been a little strange. Mr. Carnestoltes said we had come with an original hairstyle o with a different shoe in each foot. And we have do it!

During these days, we have prepared our costume and the fantastic party. We have chosen a curious "soundtrack" which let us dance a lot.

[CAT] Aquesta setmana ha estat una mica estranya. El Sr. Carnestoltes va dir que havíem de venir amb un pentinat divertit o bé amb una sabata diferent a cada peu. I ho hem fet!

Carnival Time

[ENG] February is known as the month we put on a custom and celebrate Carnival. So, this week we have spoken about this issue with pictures and songs.

Our custom is a surprise for you, so we are learning to sing and dance some songs in order to celebrate the Carnival on the 24th afternoon with our families. 

You will see, next week! It will be very amusing!

[CAT] El febrer és conegut com el mes que ens disfressem i celebrem el Carnaval. Per tant, aquesta setmana hem estat parlant sobre aquest tema amb l'ajuda d'imatges i cançons.

La nostra disfressa és una sorpresa per vosaltres, llavors estem aprenent a cantar i ballar algunes cançons per poder celebrar el Carnaval amb les nostres famílies el  dia 24 a la tarda.

Ho veureu la setmana que ve! Serà molt divertit!

What's the weather like today?

[ENG] Every day in our English sessions, Menuts and Súpers have a target: We have to discover the weather. All together, with an imaginary cap, we look at the sky and we decide if it is sunny or it is cloudy. Moreover, we have to say if it is hot, cold or very very cold that we need to wear a hat and a scarf  like the little snowman and, of course, a jacket to go outside.

So, this week, we have painted a happy sun with the colours we have learnt these months: red and yellow.  Besides, we will get a new colour, if we mix these two. Can you guess it?

[CAT] Cada dia a les nostres sessions d'Anglès, tant els Menuts com els Súpers, tenim un gran propòsit: Hem de descobrir el temps que fa. Tots junts, ens posem una visera imaginària, mirem cap al cel i decidim si el sol ha sortit o, el contrari, hi ha núvols. A més a més, hem de dir si fa calor, fred o moltíssim fred que necessitem gorro i bufanda com el Ninot de neu, i evidentment, una jaqueta per anar al carrer.

Per tant, aquesta setmana, hem pintat un sol molt simpàtic amb els colors que hem après durant aquests mesos: el vermell i el groc. A més a més, si barregem aquests dos colors, obtindrem un color nou. Podeu imaginar quin és?

Winter Clothes

[ENG] This week we have been speaking about the clothes we wear in winter. To learn them, we have seen some pictures, and the teacher have asked us about our own clothes, so we have shown each other the cloth asked. We enjoy it, because we have found out a lot of different colours and pictures.

We have sung songs about clothes, one of them is this rap.

[CAT] Aquesta setmana hem treballat la roba que utilitzem durant l'hivern. Per fer-ho ens hem ajudat d'unes fantàstiques imatges,  i ens hem ensenyat els uns als altres la peça de roba que la mestra ens ha preguntat. Fer-ho, és molt divertit, perquè hem descobert una gran quantitat de colors i imatges.

També, hem cantat algunes cançons sobre la roba, una d'elles és aquest rap.

Painting the Star

[ENG] During these days, our new friend, the nice Star, has had a big problem: She had lost her yellow colour. Súpers and Menuts wanted to help her because the Star was so sad. All of them found the solution quickly: Looking for all yellow colours that the teachers have in La Mainada and painting the Star with them, she will shine again. While the Star was recovering its colour, she started to smile again

[CAT] Aquests dies, la nostra simpàtica amiga, l'Estrelleta, ha tingut un gran problema: Havia perdut el seu color groc. Els Súpers i els Menuts van voler ajudar-la perquè estava molt trista. Tots, van trobar, ràpidament la solució: Buscant tots els colors grocs de La Mainada i pintant l'Estrelleta, aquesta tornaria a brillar. Mentre l'estaven pintant i ella anava recuperant el color, començava a somriure una altra vegada.

The coldest week

[ENG] This week has been the coldest of the year, but it doesn't snow. So we have to imagine a white landscape with high mountains and tall trees in order to see a fantastic snowman. Everybody likes playing if it snows, so we won't be different and we have created our own snowman. We have made it with cotton wool, it is not cold but it is funny.

The song we have learnt this week is, of course, about a friendly snowman that wears a hat and a scarf to not be cold outside. Listen to it!

[CAT] Aquesta ha estat la setmana més freda de l'any, però no ha nevat. Per tant, aquí a La Mainada ens hem imaginat un paisatge blanc amb muntanyes i arbres alts per poder trobar i veure un fantàstic ninot de neu. A tothom li encanta sortir a jugar amb la neu quan neva, i nosaltres, no serem diferents i hem creat el nostre propi ninot de neu. Aquest, està fet de cotó fluix, que encara que no sigui fred ha estat divertit fer-lo.

La cançó d'aquesta setmana, tracta, evidentment, sobre un simpàtic ninot de neu que porta gorro i bufanda per no tenir fred. Escolteu-la!

I am a little snowman Song

New Term

[ENG] After holidays, we have started a new term with new songs and vocabulary, and of course, we have known a new friend: A YELLOW STAR

This first week we have been speaking about winter and the weather in this season which is very very cold, so we need to wear specific clothes like gloves or scarf.

Furthermore, the Yellow Monster is in the class, so we have discovered yellow objects in the class and in a lot of pictures.

Now, we can find red and yellow things at home or in the street like the children in the songs below do.

[CAT] Després de les vacances, hem començat nou trimestre amb noves cançons i nou vocabulari, i evidentment, una nova amiga ha vingut per ensenyar-nos moltes coses: L'ESTRELLA GROGA.

Aquesta primera setmana, hem estat parlant sobre l'hivern i el temps tant gèlid que és necessari portar guants o bufanda.

A més a més, com que el Monstre de color groc és a la classe, hem buscat tota mena d'objectes d'aquest color, tant a la classe com en fotografies.

Ara, ja podem trobar coses vermelles i grogues a casa o al carrer, tal i com els nens de les cançons de l'enllaç fan.
